A place to belong. Space to grow.

Opening in 2028 | Initially welcoming Kindergarten, Years 1, 2 and 7

A new specialist Catholic school is taking shape on the Central Coast, creating more opportunities for students with a disability to learn and grow within their local community.

Eileen O’Connor Catholic School Tuggerah will provide specialist education for students with autism and/or intellectual disability, in a purpose-built learning environment.

With personalised support and high expectations for every learner, our vision is a school where each child’s strengths are recognised, progress is celebrated and families feel part of a caring Catholic community.

Specialist education, closer to home

Finding the right school is an important decision for every family.

Our purpose built Tuggerah school will expand specialist education options on the Central Coast, providing a local setting designed around the needs of students with a disability.

Located alongside a mainstream secondary school St Peter’s Catholic College, EOCS Tuggerah will be part of a connected educational community, with opportunities for connections beyond the classroom.

Designed with students in mind

The planned school brings together spaces for learning, play, creativity and connection.

The design includes:

  • Purpose-built classrooms and flexible learning areas.
  • Indoor and outdoor sensory play spaces.
  • Specialist spaces for hospitality, science, technology and creative arts.
  • A library.
  • A community gathering space.
  • On-site student drop-off and pick-up areas.

These facilities form part of the planned school development.

Opening in 2028, with room to grow

EOCS Tuggerah will develop as a Kindergarten to Year 12 specialist school, opening in stages.

The initial 2028 intake will welcome students in:

  • Kindergarten
  • Year 1
  • Year 2
  • Year 7

The school will expand over time towards a full Kindergarten to Year 12 pathway. Families interested in other year groups or future entry are welcome to contact our enrolments team.

A learning journey shaped around your child

Every student brings their own strengths, interests and ways of learning.

The EOCS approach recognises these differences while maintaining high expectations for each student’s growth. Working with families, the school will support students to build on their strengths and take their next steps in learning.

Where appropriate, and when a student is ready, their pathway may include transition to an EOCS support class or mainstream school.
